Call for contribution, Issue 2: Imperfect Beauty
After the success of the first issue of Grain Viet Nam: Hẻm. We want to introduce you to our second issue: Imperfect Beauty.
What is an “Imperfect beauty” ?
For this issue of Grain Viet Nam, we followed the inspiration of our community on our Instagram. This issue is largely inspired by the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi: the beauty that is imperfect, impermanent and incomplete. For Richard Powell, Wabi-sabi:
” Nurtures all that is authentic by acknowledging three simple realities: nothing lasts, nothing is finished, and nothing is perfect.”
Through the second issue we invite every analog photographers to share their vision of this concept. We want to feature portraits, landscapes, street photographs and so on. This issue aim to show the hidden beauty located in Viet Nam, be it the portrait of an elderly or a decripiscent wall.
